Playing Catch Up
I’ve neglected my blog for quite some time, but have been fairly active on Ravelry and flickr. Since I’ve been gone from this site for son long, I thought I’d show you some of the knitting projects I’ve finished during the past few months. One of my favorites is the “Scare Isle” tam from knitty.com:
This is Radiant from Petite Purls:
I can’t say I enjoyed knitting this very much, because I didn’t like the yarn. My daughter, while thrilled with the idea of a rainbow sweater, proclaimed it too itchy and hasn’t worn it since the photo shoot. I’m not really heart-broken, because I agree with her assessment.
I finished two sweaters for myself. Here’s my rendition of the February Lady Sweater:
Finally, here’s my Twigs and Willows sweater, which was designed by Alana Dakos. I LOVE this color of Madeline Tosh. I can’t say it’s the most flattering style of sweater for my figure, but I’m sure I’ll wear it a lot regardless.
Meanwhile I taught my daughter to knit:
She really seems to like it!
