It’s a Wrap!
Just before I went back to work full-time, I whipped up a version of Simplicity 4074 using an Ann Klein Fabric. While I was pleased with the results, I didn’t quite realize what a magical thing it was. I wear that dress ALL. THE. TIME. It’s comfortable, looks classy and can be worn with or without a jacket or cardigan, paired with boots or heels…works in the office or going out for a nice dinner…
I wish I had a dozen of these dresses.
I found a beautiful Monet-like ITY at Gorgeous Fabrics and decided it was time to make another wrap dress. I like this one a lot too, although I’m not sure it will be quite the “work” horse the other is, because the colors aren’t quite so serious, but that’s ok. It will be great for spring and summer occasions!
Will I make yet another? I’m not sure right now. What I do know, is that this pretty dress makes me want to dance:
It’s not too bad from the back either:
I have enough of this fabric to make a top. I’d like to keep it simple enough to wear under jackets. I’m still contemplating patterns, but I might use it for the Jalie scarf collar top.
