Over the Hill and Through the Woods

We went to Grandmother’s (and Grandfather’s) house for Christmas this year. They live in the backwoods of Montana, which is a good ten-hour drive from here. We were fortunate that the roads were dry–and just like magic, it snowed the day after we arrived, so the kids could go sledding and build snowmen.
What fun! We also ate a tremendous amount, went skiing and ice skating, played with my parents’ dogs and just hung out and enjoyed each other’s company.
As usual, my generous mother gifted me with some lovely sewing and knitting items: fabric, patterns and yarn! When it’s light out, I’ll take some pictures so you can drool over all the treasures.
As much fun as the trip was, I’m glad to be home! I missed my comfy bed and my sewing machine…
