Big event in these parts. Claire learned how to ride a bicycle this weekend!

The photo is blurry because I had to run to keep up with her. She’s got a need for speed, lol!

Just as we did with Sam, we put her on a bicycle without pedals and without training wheels. She used the bike this way for some time, just scooting up and down the sidewalk. We knew she was ready for pedals when we went to the park on Sunday. She’d give herself a good push and then coasted for long stretches.

Sure enough, when Robert added the pedals later on, it only took her a few tries to get the hang of it and now she’s happily zooming up and down the sidewalk.

I’ll be happier when she learns to turn and brake more reliably. My nerves are on edge, but since Claire doesn’t know any better (yet), she’s ecstatic.

I’ve got the band-aids ready, lol
