This weekend, our family went down to Lake Washington to enjoy one of the local traditions: watching the hydroplane races and the Blue Angels’ Air Show.
This is not the kind of event I’d generally find all that interesting, but when you have a seven (almost eight) year old son, it’s worth going to something like this to see the excitement on his face.
And who doesn’t occasionally like a day spent out in the fresh air, eating caramel corn and sno cones? Despite myself, I had a good time.
Robert enjoyed himself too, but I’m not sure whether it had to do with the show overhead or the one a few feet in front of him:

For little boys, of all ages, air shows are really cool and really exciting. As for Robert – looks like he had more than enough to keep him occupied (obviously checking out the airshow but possibly also trying to be a good citizen and make sure those two ladies didn’t fall in and drown)
