Stitch Witchery

I finished my witchy mini quilt:
The piece has its quirks–I had trouble keeping the pieced border from warping terribly, but I’m proud of it regardless. It’s the first sewing project I designed from start to finish. I learned a lot along the way and can fairly confidently say, I’ll be designing new things soon. It’s liberating to break away from someone else’s patterns!
The family’s headed off on an adventure tomorrow. We’ll be visiting the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival and doing a little bit of camping. The kids are excited…especially about roasting marshmallows. Have a great weekend!

Amy – that is so funny, I was going to make the same type of hanging, but with six stitched pictures. That is if I can con the Zach into stitching the pictures. Very cute and creative it looks great!!!
