Sophie Bag Take Two

Published by Amy at 2:02 am under Sewing

I had a lovely weekend visiting with my parents and playing with my kids. I’m a bit sad this morning, though, because Mom and Dad started on their long voyage back home. The weather on the mountain passes isn’t supposed to be all that great (think snow) and so I’m fretting a bit about their safety as well. As you can see, Sam and Claire also enjoyed spending time with their grandparents:

I managed to squeeze a little bit of knitting related activities in while chatting with my parents. I finished my Sophie bag:

Overall, it turned out pretty nicely. I like the boucle fabric the Manos makes when it’s felted, although I’m a little disappointed the colors didn’t remain as vibrant as they were pre-felting. You all were right to advise me not to fret too much over the pooling colors. While they’re still noticeable, they form an interesting border to the bottom of the bag. As you can see, I added a cute little butterfly pin to the bag to make it even more snazzy.

Mom and I had a wonderful time visiting several sewing, beading & knitting stores on Saturday morning. I even started working on a new project with some of the supplies I picked up. I’ll show you my treasures tomorrow!

Happy Valentine’s day! :hearthrob:
