I’m staying home from work despite the fact that I REALLY should be there to help with trial preparation. I’m going to work on Sunday instead. Speaking of work, I assisted attorneys at trial yesterday for the first time. I was an absolute nervous wreck. Things went well, except for the couple of minutes when I couldn’t get the computer to play the video deposition testimony we wanted to use in our opening statement. It’s hard thinking clearly when the judge is staring at you and opposing counsel is not even trying to conceal their amusement at your screw-up. Thank goodness my attorneys didn’t seem too upset about the problem.
