Sam’s temper tantrums are out-of-control lately. He’s so determined to do things on his own like dressing himself and going to the potty. Unfortunately, these things aren’t easy for the little guy and he gets frustrated. Frustration leads to bouts of screaming and crying, kicking his legs, the whole nine yards. If I were only [...]

I bought too many plants for our flower beds. In the past, I’ve typically bought too few plants, which resulted in a skimpy looking display. That’s not going to happen this year. I’m actually having trouble finding places to cram all the plants in. If only Robert would finish the planter in the back yard, [...]

I began experiencing strong contractions at about 9:30 in the evening. They were of a different character from those I had suffered through during the innumerable episodes of false labor which had plagued me during the previous few weeks. They hurt so much I could barely concentrate on anything else. Despite the pain, I was [...]

Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That's because they were able to connect experiences they've had and synthesize new things.

    • February Lady Sweater 14 March 2014

02/17/13 - It’s definitely on the small side. I would prefer more ease, but think I’ll get some wear out of this sweater. I also think it may have been a poor choice in project for me. While it was fun to knit, the FO reminds me a little too much of maternity wear. On to BIGGER and BETTER things :)

02/12/13 - Unblocked, this fits my 8 yo daughter. Hopefully, it will fit me post-blocking. I don’t usually use this many pins when blocking a sweater, but I’m determined to boss my knitting around.

If it fits me, when done, then that’s ok. If it fits my daughter when done, that’s ok too. If it fits neither of us, I’m going to be a sad little knitter.

When I cast on for this, I was concerned about the super wash yarn growing a lot during the blocking process. Now that I’ve mostly knit the sweater, I’m concerned that it’s not going to grow enough. It’s rather small.
