Happy Birthday!
Today I?m celebrating my 29th birthday for the third time. :birthday: On this special day, I?ve been reflecting on some of my blessings:
1. My loving husband who is taking me to the opera tonight despite the fact that he does not share my enthusiasm for it. (We?re seeing Carmen!)
2. My remarkable son who brought home yet another commendation from his teacher for his willingness to help out his friends and his ability to diffuse potential conflicts with other children by laughing and smiling.
3. My brother has finally arrived safe and sound in Seattle after working in Cincinnati for the past several months. I?ve missed him!
4. My parents. They?re such wonderful people. I don?t know how to begin praising and thanking them.
5. My employer has been supportive of my professional development AND flexible in accommodating my personal life?no qualms about letting me take all the time off I need with either baby.
6. My health has been excellent and no complications have arisen during either pregnancy (knock on wood?I?ve still got a couple of months to go).
I received a package of goodies which included a fun novel to read, a ball winder, and a case for my knitting needles (My mother made this and used an old Godiva chocolates ribbon for its tie. While I LOVE the case, I?m disappointed that there weren?t any chocolates hidden away in it
