Amy the Grouch
Is it just me, or are people really irritating? I have little patience for the following:
1. Last night, a truck pulled up behind us and waited as we loaded our groceries in the trunk of our car. It seems the occupants desperately wanted our parking spot. Advantage to them? They would be two spots closer to the store than they would have been had they used any of the empty spots surrounding the location where they waited for us. Were their legs broken???
2. I sat behind someone on the bus who was wearing a liberal amount of cheap perfume. It made me sneeze. Forty-five minutes of sneezing and watery eyes is unpleasant.
3. I stood behind a lady at Starbucks who was speaking on her cell phone. She was unwilling to interrupt her phone conversation when it came her turn to place her order. She also didn?t give up her place in line. Emily Post really needs to develop etiquette guidelines for cell phone users.
4. The same lady proceeded to pay for her order using a credit card. Her order totaled less than $10.
I wasn?t this grouchy all weekend. I promise. I didn?t have much of a chance to be grouchy though, since I spent most of the weekend napping. This means that didn?t get much knitting done either. I?m a few rows short of completing the left front of Elfin. I could have made some headway into the right front section had I been intent on doing so. I must fess up that I?m dragging my feet a little because I?m dreading the Kid Silk Haze ruffles. Several much more experienced knitters have had trouble with them?
