I’m taking Thursday and Friday off to spend some time with my family. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law are visiting
We’re going to travel over to the Olympic Penninsula and spend some time here. Doesn’t it look nice? Also, we’ll be visiting the Hoh Rainforest, which Sam, Robert & I enjoyed exploring last summer. Here are some pictures from that trip (about halfway down the page, you’ll see some pictures of the forest). Now that I have my new and much better camera, I hope I can capture some nicer images this time ![]()
Oh yes, here’s the entry I wrote last year about this trip ![]()
I’m looking forward to it!
It's my blog and I can whine if I want to…

You know, I think if I were allowed to do the same work associates in this firm do, I would be happy with my job. I LOVE doing research. I really enjoy hunting down answers to interesting questions. I also love writing. The problem is, I?m not an attorney, so the kind of work I can do is limited. Moreover, this firm expects less of its paralegals than others do?and less than I?m capable of doing. I?m bored. I?m frustrated. I?m not working up to my potential.
I spoke to my supervisor about this several months ago and she agreed to give me more challenging work, which she actually did for awhile, and as far as I can tell, she was pleased with what I was doing?but as time passed, she and others slipped back into giving me the kind of work that was boring me senseless and which led me to complain in the first place.
I tried submitting my resume to several places recently, but I think the competition is pretty stiff right now since many people are in between jobs due to the suffering economy. Consequently, I have very little hope in finding something new and intriguing right now.
Eight years of higher education and here I am photocopying documents, stuffing papers in files and indexing boxes of materials. Heartening, isn?t it?

My beautiful sunny natured boy has a dark side. One minute he?ll be giggling and snuggling up to you and the next, he?ll be crying and throwing his little body on the floor in protest. ?No,? has become a staple in his vocabulary.
Are we or are we not on the verge of the terrible twos?
The funny thing is we got a really sweet note from his teacher about how much he?s grown up in the past six months. She was delighted with how much less aggressive he is towards the other children (for awhile there, we had a problem with Sam hitting the other little kids) and how much more affectionate he is towards everyone. Apparently, his dark side only comes out when he?s at home.
In other news…
I’m having a ball beta testing some new Poser products for Kandee Wright. She creates the most gorgeous textures for clothing and very intriguing characters to match. I’m so lucky to be given this opportunity and am learning a lot in the process. Some day, I’m going to go back and redo the old Poser images I’ve done because now I have a good idea about how to improve them.
Also, Vue d’esprit will be showing up in the mail any day now. I’m so excited!!! I’ll have absolutely no excuses left for not creating the most dazzling images ![]()
