I went to my first appointment today. Unfortunately, the person with whom I had set up the appointment was not a regular employee there and failed to note that this was my second pregnancy, so she just scheduled me fora consultation with the nurse. I had to take a second test–which was positive (yay!) and then listen to a lecture about what I could and could not eat, do, etc. Once I realized that it was the same old spiel I had heard the first time around, I told the nurse that it was old hat to me. The nurse then asked me 1,000 questions about my medical history, much of which she should have already known had she had my chart before her, but she forgot it. Very frustrating.

Afterwards, she sent me over to the lab to have some tests done. I had to give a second urine sample. It’s very difficult to pee on command, especially when you had already gone 20 minutes earlier. Bad planning. I also had some blood drawn. And that was it.

I’ll actually see the doctor on Monday.

Oh, yes, my due date is March 30 (which means I could have an April Fools baby–LOL!)
