Guilt Trip
Uncategorized May 5th, 2003
Well, I no longer need to feel so guilty about the program I almost bought on ebay. I was outbid. That’s so great! I’m doing fine now with Bryce
I’ve got a pretty nice landscape 3/4 of the way done.
I’ve decided that I’m going to set up a gallery for my 3d creations. I have too much fun making them and they’re not doing anybody any good by being hidden away on my hard drive. If I can figure out how to make the 4images templates look the way I want them to, I’ll probably use that program since I’ve got it installed on my server already
PHEW!
Since my husband commented on an entry today, I figure I’m safe from him looking at this website for another six months or so. That’s a good thing, since I need to confess something which he’d be none too pleased to learn about. I purchased another expensive graphics program this morning (Vue d’Esprit). I couldn’t help myself. I’ve been working on a landscape in Bryce and grew extremely frustrated with its awkward texture editor and rotten way of handling vegetration. Vue d’Esprit is a similar 3d rendering program, but it supposedly has a much more user-friendly interface, a faster rendering engine and it generates great plants and trees. I’m trying not to feel overly guilty about this frivolous purchase, but it’s a losing battle right now. *sigh* Bad me.
I really should have all credit cards, checking accounts, etc. taken away from me. The fact that my ATM card expired and I still haven’t received its replacement in the mail is not necessarily a bad thing. LOL!
In other news…
I finally went to the Department of Licensing and renewed my driver’s license, which had expired last January. Yes, I’ve been driving around without a valid license. Bad me.
It’s always an adventure going to the good ol’ D.O.L. While I was there today, two police officers arrested some guy who was standing up at the counter. I have no idea why they slapped the handcuffs on him and hauled him out of there, but my imagination went into overdrive conjuring up various scenarios. The prisoner didn’t seem all that surprised or upset by the incident. I don’t know that I would have reacted as calmly as he did. It was kind of strange…
