The Blues
So, we painted the dining room blue. Then, 18 hours later, we painted it white again. In fact, we painted over the blue so quickly, I didn’t even have a chance to take a photo. It just didn’t look right. Both Robert and I like the idea of brightly colored rooms, but the blue dining room didn’t look right from the vantage point of our very conservatively colored living room or our light-n-airy kitchen. It was too dramatic a change…kind of like having a marching band interrupt a mother singing a lullaby.
The first thing my brother said when he saw the blue room was, “when is the grand opening?” I looked at him quizzically. He continued, “the grand opening of your Mexican Restaurant…all you need are a few pinatas and you’re good to go…” ROFL!!! Oh well, it was an amusing experiment. Does this mean Robert and I are boring people? Don’t answer that 
We went couch shopping on Sunday. It wasn’t much fun. We have very different ideas about what a nice couch looks and feels like. Robert is set on a funky red couch and a big purple chair. If we purchased those, I’m afraid it would be another blue room type of experience. :laugh:
