Oh, this is excellent! Locker Gnome gave a great review of Pix Pics! (You’ll have to scroll down the page a bit to see it.) I’m so proud to be one of the admin and contributors there!
Pity Party

I woke up feeling really crappy this morning. Two kids at Sam’s daycare were sent home with pink eye and it seems I got it from them. My eyes are bugging me. I also feel just plain tired and unmotivated. It took me forever to get going this morning. I contemplated staying at home, missed two busses and eventually gave into my guilt complex and hightailed it to work.
Thanks for all the love you ladies have sent me today. It brightened up things considerably! Thank you as well for all the helpful input you gave about our dining room. We’re going to try painting it blue. If it looks awful, we can easily paint it another color
Robert’s really excited about it and plans on starting after Sam goes to bed tonight. I’m going to try to convince him to wait until tomorrow morning, so I can get some sleep. We’ll see how that goes!
We went couch shopping last night. Amazing how many awful looking pieces of furniture there are in the world. I hope we have better luck this weekend. I’m really looking forward to getting rid of that travesty we have in our living room!
Color Me Blue?

Here are three pictures of our dining room: #1, #2, #3. They were taken awhile ago, but the room looks pretty much the same. The only major difference is we’ve put a pretty green and blue area rug on the floor.
Robert and I have been debating what color we should paint this room as we continue on with our neverending home improvement projects. Most of the rooms in our house are light colors. For instance, we painted the living room a beige color called “Navaho White.” Our bedroom is a warm peachy color and Sam’s room is a pastel blue (although Robert swears it’s lavendar–but what does he know–LOL).
Robert and one of his friends think we should paint that room a dramatic color like red or blue since there’s plenty of light in there and the other rooms in the house are subtlely colored. They believe it will make our house seem more lively. I’m not wholly opposed to this, but not entirely sure it will look good either. Red is out though, since it won’t go with the rug. Blue is definitely a possiblity–or there’s always the five gallon bucket of white paint we’ve got sitting in our garage.
So, what do you think? Should we stick with white or go for a dramatic color?
