Obsession

Uncategorized August 28th, 2002

Hello. My name is Amy and I?m a blog-o-holic. I have nine separate blogs set up on Movable Type and I participate in two group blogs elsewhere. That?s a lot for a girl to keep straight! Admittedly, not all of them are active. My Bookworms blog never got off the ground, despite my initial enthusiasm for it. I will probably remove it from my site soon. I haven?t been posting to Sam I Am much either, mostly because I post a lot of baby news here, on Mysterious Whisper. The Handyman blog I created recently is mostly for my husband?s use, to show off completed projects. I also have a blog for announcing updates to Quixotic Pixels, another blog for testing out templates I create and my photoblog, Eye of the Beholder, which I?m enjoying immensely as of late. Why am I giving you this run-down of my blogging obsession? Because I want to introduce the ninth and newest blog I?ve created: Tattered Cover. This is a group blog on which participants barter for used books. Cheryl and I have listed several books so far which are available in exchange for books of interest to us. We plan on adding a lot more soon. If you would like to join us, either by listing books of your own or by proposing an exchange, please visit us there!

The Hoh Rainforest

Expressions Project No. 15: How well travelled are you? Share a few of your favorite places in as much detail as you can.

I’ve traveled throughout most of the United States and have even ventured to several foreign countries, including Canada, Mexico, France, Japan and England. I’ve found, though, that some of the most interesting voyages are to be made close to home. For example, yesterday my family and I went on a trip to the Hoh Rainforest, which is situated on the Olympic Penninsula..a mere 30 minute voyage by ferry and 3 hour drive along scenic highway 101.

Introducing: The Handyman

General August 23rd, 2002

As a surprise for my husband who has worked so hard making things nice around our home, I decided to set up a blog showcasing all that he’s done (I’ve only contributed in minor ways–partially because I was pregnant when a lot of this was taking place and partially because I’m not a very handy gal). But for now, you can see lots of before and after photos of our attic which we’ve transformed into an office space, before and after pictures of Sammy’s bedroom, and one lonesome photo of Robert working on the deck. We’ll be adding more pictures and project notes soon!
