It’s been awhile since I posted anything, hasn’t it? *sigh* I have to admit I’ve been a teensy weensy bit obsessed with getting my design site up and running and have neglected other things. It’s turning out to be a lot more work than I expected. The way I have it set up right now is people have to fill out a form to request a zip file of the graphics. If I’ve already got everything zipped up, it’s a piece of cake, but if I don’t, I have to gather everything together and get it ready to send off. Sometimes a bit of customization is required. What I need to do is organize things a little better. I’ll need to draft a few form letters to instruct people how to install the sets, etc. I’m also considering using a script I saw at Alicorna (?) which directs people to a page from which they can download the graphics.

The bottom line is I’m surprised by how many people have requested sets so far…and I only have ten or so up! I didn’t realize that many people used linkware sets. So why did I put up a linkware site you might very well ask? Well, because I have fun making graphics and just not enough pages to put them on Plus, I like helping people out.

What else has been going on? I’m totally. Completely. 100% burned out with work. It’s been awful lately. Late in the day (i.e. impossible) filings to get out the door, secretaries crying on my shoulder because of the pressure, uptight attorneys being uptight attorneys… Ugh. I’m so ready for a vacation.

And one just started in the nick of time. I don’t have to go back for a whole week. Robert, Sam, Will & I are going to drive to Montana to visit my parents. It’s going to be a long drive and we plan on starting late in the day so Sammy will sleep most of the way. Cross your fingers for us that everything goes smoothly.

It will be nice to get out of the city, though. I plan on taking my camera and snapping lots of photographs. That’s one thing I’d really like to improve on–taking better photographs. Those that I’ve been taking recently are really blurry and not composed very nicely. One thing at a time, I suppose!

Oh, yeah, having been bitten by the designer bug, I forgot to mention that I redid Sammy’s pages. I really liked what Cheryl designed for it before, but as I said, inspiration hit…and voila! a new design emerged. I also set up a photolog there (still haven’t come up with a design for that, but I will soon!) so you can look at lots of pictures of Sammy and comment on them now

How’s this for a totally rambling, poorly composed entry? Oh well, my mind is totally scrambled right now, so you can’t expect much from me right now…
