Robert’s co-workers chipped in and bought us two sets of the china I had picked out. Their generosity floored me! I have been preoccupied with visions of romantic candlelit dinners. Before that occurs, I will have to learn to cook. Somehow, it seems inappropriate to serve TV dinners on fine china.

Things are looking up since I last posted. My mom found a justice of the peace who will be able to perform our ceremony. It wasn’t easy though. Three of the four judges she contacted were booked up that weekend. I hope we’ll have a chance to speak to the judge to find out what her expectations are. I don’t know if she’ll perform the ceremony we wrote or has one she prefers. Either way, at least it will be legal

I’m feeling blue today. Got home and listened to a message on our answering machine from Doreen. She was supposed to perform our wedding ceremony (9 days away) but her cat has one foot in the grave and she doesn’t want to leave it alone. Then I called my parents to explain this and they told me that my brother wouldn’t be able to make it either. He finally got a job and will have to attend training sessions at that time. I’m happy for him, I really am. But I’m going to miss him terribly.
